The Powder Coating Supervisor oversees the powder coating process to ensure the timely and quality application of coatings to various products. This role involves leading a team of operators, Helpers, scheduling work orders, maintaining equipment, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of Operators, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Schedule and prioritize work orders to meet production deadlines.
- Operate and maintain powder coating equipment, including guns, ovens, and booths.
- Monitor coating thickness, color consistency, and adherence to quality standards.
- Train new technicians on powder coating techniques and safety procedures.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs as necessary.
- Maintain inventory of coating materials and order supplies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with production and quality control teams to optimize processes and resolve issues.
- Keep accurate records of production activities, including coating usage and equipment maintenance.
