We are seeking an experienced Math Curriculum Specialist to support the development and continuous improvement of our AI-powered math learning platform. This role combines curriculum design, instructional expertise, and AI application testing to create engaging, standards-aligned learning experiences.
The ideal candidate is passionate about mathematics education and enjoys developing instructional content, creating high-quality problem sets, evaluating AI-generated solutions, and recommending product improvements that enhance student learning.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum & Content Development
- Develop and organize math curriculum aligned with state and national standards.
- Create original, high-quality problem sets, practice exercises, quizzes, and assessments for multiple grade levels.
- Review and revise instructional materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, and educational effectiveness.
- Recommend curriculum enhancements based on student learning objectives and product needs.
AI Application Testing
- Test AI-generated math questions, solutions, and explanations for accuracy and quality.
- Identify mathematical, instructional, and user experience issues within the platform.
- Validate that AI-generated content aligns with curriculum standards and learning objectives.
- Provide detailed feedback and recommendations to improve AI performance and educational outcomes.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to refine AI-generated learning experiences.
Training & Program Support
- Assist in developing training materials for educators and internal teams.
- Support onboarding and professional development related to curriculum and platform features.
- Provide subject matter expertise for new product features and instructional initiatives.
- Contribute ideas that improve the overall educational effectiveness of the program.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Education, or a related STEM field.
- Experience teaching mathematics in a classroom, tutoring, or curriculum development.
- Strong understanding of math standards and instructional best practices.
- Experience creating math lessons, assessments, and problem sets.
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Master's degree in Mathematics or Education.
- Curriculum writing or instructional design experience.
- Experience evaluating educational technology or AI-powered learning tools.
- Familiarity with generative AI tools and prompt evaluation.
- Experience training teachers or facilitating professional learning.
