About the Role:
For a leading Danish company, we are seeking a highly experienced Senior/Principal Backend Software Engineer to help evolve and scale their customer-facing data-sharing platform.
This role focuses on extending existing pull-based APIs with new data domains and introducing push-based data delivery capabilities while ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a strong backend engineer with expertise in distributed systems, API platforms, event-driven architectures, and secure data exchange
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and customer-facing APIs.
- Extend the existing data-sharing platform with new data types and push-based delivery mechanisms.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and technical design decisions.
- Build secure, scalable, resilient, and high-performing backend solutions.
- Troubleshoot production issues and support platform operations.
- Develop automated tests and actively participate in code reviews.
- Drive security improvements, dependency upgrades, and platform reliability initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineering and business stakeholders to deliver robust technical solutions.
- Ensure high standards of software quality, maintainability, and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 10+ years of backend software development experience.
- Proven experience building and operating enterprise-grade backend systems.
- Strong experience working in Agile development environments.
- Ability to independently drive complex technical initiatives.
- Strong ownership mindset and leadership capabilities.
Core Technical Skills
- Strong Java and/or Scala development expertise.
- Experience building and operating API-based products and platforms.
- Experience designing and implementing event-driven solutions.
- Experience delivering data securely to external customers and partner systems.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and scalable backend architectures.
Pay: ₹150,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
