An HR Manager in construction drives full-cycle recruitment, specializing in sourcing skilled labor, engineers, and project staff while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Core Responsibilities (Recruitment & HR)
- Talent Acquisition: Manage the full recruitment life cycle for site-based, technical, and corporate roles (e.g., engineers, project managers, skilled laborers).
- Sourcing: Proactively hunt for candidates using niche job boards, LinkedIn, and local networks to fill positions quickly.
- Onboarding & Compliance: Manage onboarding, including site-safety inductions, document verification, and compliance with labor laws (e.g., PF, ESI, Minimum Wages).
- Workforce Planning: Collaborate with project managers to forecast staffing needs based on project schedules.
- Employee Relations: Manage employee grievances, disciplinary procedures, and union negotiations.
- Performance & Training: Implement performance reviews and organize skill development programs for site workers.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of HR experience, with at least 2–3 years in construction, real estate, or infrastructure.
- Skills: Strong understanding of labor laws, union contract negotiations, and blue-collar recruitment.
