- Blueprint Reading & Layout: Interpret complex engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints to determine the correct materials, dimensions, and sequence of operations.
- Material Preparation: Cut, bend, roll, punch, and shape raw metal using tools like shears, saws, drill presses, and flame cutters.
- Fitting & Assembly: Position, align, and fit metal components together to exact tolerances using clamps, tack-welds, bolts, and rivets.
- Welding: Join and fuse metal parts together using various techniques, including MIG, TIG, Stick, and flux-cored welding.
- Quality Control & Finishing: Inspect, grind, and test welded joints and finished parts using precision measuring instruments to meet strict quality and safety standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot welding machinery, power tools, and workshop equipment to ensure safe, continuous operation.
