This role is built to cover the bulk of the agency's day-to-day client web work in one hire — primarily WordPress and Shopify builds, with basic PHP/Laravel customization for backend tweaks. It's a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone who can independently take a website or e-commerce requirement from brief to a live, working site.
Key Responsibilities
● Build and customize WordPress websites — themes, plugins, and page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery).
● Set up and customize Shopify stores — themes, apps, and basic Liquid template customization.
● Handle basic PHP/Laravel work for backend tweaks, integrations, and light custom functionality beyond what WordPress/Shopify handle natively.
● Convert UI/UX designs from the design team into functional, responsive websites.
● Manage hosting, domains, SSL, and basic performance/security upkeep for client sites.
● Troubleshoot and resolve bugs or issues on live client sites promptly.
● Communicate technical timelines, constraints, and trade-offs clearly to non-technical account managers and clients.
Required Skills & Tools
● Strong, hands-on WordPress development experience — theme customization, plugin configuration, page builders.
● Shopify store setup and customization experience; familiarity with Liquid templating is a strong plus.
● Working knowledge of PHP and Laravel fundamentals.
● Solid HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals.
● Familiarity with basic on-page SEO, site speed optimization, and responsive design principles.
● Familiarity with Git or other version control is a plus.
Qualifications & Experience
● Graduate degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field — or equivalent demonstrated practical experience.
● 2–4 years of relevant experience building and maintaining WordPress and/or Shopify sites for real clients.
● A portfolio of live sites built or maintained, ideally spanning both marketing sites and e-commerce stores.
Pay: From ₹30,000.00 per month
