About the Role
Hayat Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant – General Medicine to provide comprehensive medical care, diagnosis, treatment, and management of adult patients across a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions.
The ideal candidate should possess strong clinical expertise, sound decision-making abilities, and a patient-centric approach while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, evaluate, and manage patients with various medical conditions and illnesses
- Conduct OPD consultations and IPD patient management
- Develop appropriate treatment plans and monitor patient progress
- Coordinate with specialists and super-specialists for multidisciplinary patient care
- Handle emergency medical cases and critical patient assessments when required
- Interpret laboratory investigations, imaging reports, and diagnostic findings
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation
- Provide preventive healthcare guidance and patient counseling
- Participate in clinical meetings, case discussions, and medical audits
- Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, ethical standards, and patient safety guidelines
- Guide junior doctors, residents, and clinical staff when required
Eligibility Criteria
- MD / DNB in General Medicine from a recognized institution
- Minimum 3–5 years of post-qualification clinical experience
- Valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) / State Medical Council
- Strong clinical diagnostic and patient management skills
- Ability to handle OPD, IPD, and emergency medical cases independently
- Excellent communication and patient counseling skills
