A Billing Engineer manages the financial aspects of construction projects by preparing, verifying, and certifying Running Account (RA) bills, subcontractor invoices, and material reconciliations. They ensure project costs align with budgets, maintain technical documentation, and liaise between site teams and clients for timely payments.
Core Roles and Responsibilities:
- Bill Preparation & Certification: Preparing accurate, detailed bills of quantities (BOQ), RA bills, and final bills based on site measurements, drawings, and contract terms.
- Site Measurement & Verification: Taking joint measurements with clients and checking work done on-site to certify subcontractor and vendor bills.
- Material Reconciliation: Preparing monthly reconciliation statements for materials (e.g., steel, cement) to track consumption, reduce waste, and manage inventory.
- Rate Analysis & Extra Items: Identifying, analyzing, and obtaining approval for non-tendered or extra items, including supporting Joint Measurement Records (JMR).
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintaining comprehensive records of invoices, approvals, contract amendments, and submitting project MIS reports.
- Financial Coordination: Following up with clients for payment certification and coordinating with accounts departments for prompt invoice processing.
Key Skills Required:
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of engineering drawings, BBS (Bar Bending Schedule), and BOQ.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and ERP software (e.g., SAP).
- Analytical Abilities: Excellent skills in rate analysis, cost estimation, and reconciliation.
- Communication: Effective communication for interacting with site staff, contractors, and clients.
Pay: Up to ₹45,000.00 per month
