About the Role
We are looking for a highly disciplined and detail-oriented HR Operations Specialist who can independently manage critical HR backend functions including payroll, compliance, employee lifecycle management, and HR data operations.
This role is not for generalists — we are specifically looking for someone who thrives in structured, process-driven environments and has hands-on experience managing HR operations for mid-sized teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Payroll & Compliance Management
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing (manual + automated systems)
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (PF, ESI, TDS, Gratuity, Bonus, etc.)
- Handle audits, filings, and documentation with accuracy
- Coordinate with finance/vendors for timely salary processing
2. HR Operations & Data Management
- Maintain and manage employee database, records, and documentation
- Ensure 100% accuracy in HRMIS / Excel trackers
- Generate HR reports (attendance, payroll inputs, attrition, etc.)
- Strong ownership of data hygiene and audit readiness
3. Employee Lifecycle Management
- Handle onboarding & documentation (offer to joining)
- Manage exit formalities, F&F settlements, and clearance processes
- Ensure smooth employee transitions with zero operational gaps
4. Documentation & Audits
- Maintain complete employee files (digital + physical)
- Conduct regular internal audits of HR records
- Ensure compliance readiness at all times
5. Employee Engagement (Operations-driven)
- Support day-to-day employee queries related to payroll, attendance, policies
- Assist in engagement initiatives for new joiners and internal teams
Key Requirements
- Experience: 2–5 years in HR Operations / HR Generalist (Ops-heavy role)
- Must have handled 100–200+ employee base
- Strong experience in:
- Payroll processing (manual + tools)
- Statutory compliance
- Onboarding & exit processes
- HR audits & documentation
- Skills:
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data handling)
- High attention to detail & process discipline
- Strong communication (verbal + written)
- Ability to handle confidential data responsibly
