Unit (MBU), based in Pune, specialises in the design, engineering, and fabrication of custom process
skids and static equipment for the oil & gas, power, water, and industrial sectors.
Our manufacturing portfolio includes modular process skids, pressure vessels, heat exchangers,
storage tanks, filters, columns, and odourisation systems — built to international codes and delivered
to clients across India and overseas. We work with leading PSUs and global engineering companies,
and our quality benchmarks are aligned with ASME, AWS, and other applicable international standards.
The Sales Proposal Engineer will be responsible for preparing techno-commercial proposals, cost
estimation, and bid documentation for skid manufacturing, pressure vessels, piping, structural
fabrication, and heavy fabrication projects. The role requires strong technical understanding of
fabrication processes, customer requirements, engineering drawings, applicable codes, and
commercial costing to support business acquisition and customer satisfaction.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare techno-commercial proposals for Skids, Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers,
Piping, and Heavy Fabrication projects.
2. Analyze customer RFQs, technical specifications, drawings, datasheets, and tender
documents.
3. Prepare detailed cost estimations for:
o Piping fabrication, Structural fabrication, Pressure vessels, Heat exchangers, Skids
o Painting and blasting activities, Inspection and quality-related activities
4. Coordinate with Engineering, Production, SCM, Quality, and Sales teams for technical and
commercial inputs.
5. Evaluate manufacturing feasibility considering:
o Welding, Rolling, Machining, Cutting, Drilling, Painting processes
6. Review applicable ASME Codes, technical standards, and customer specifications while
preparing proposals.
7. Prepare BOMs, cost sheets, deviation lists, compliance statements, and proposal
documents.
8. Support customer discussions, clarification meetings, and technical presentations.
9. Maintain proposal records and update ERP/SAP systems with proposal-related information.
10. Ensure timely submission of quotations and adherence to customer timelines.
11. Continuously improve estimation accuracy, proposal quality, and response time.
12. Support value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
