Hiring: Purchase Engineer – Chennai
We are looking for a Purchase Engineer for a leading company in the industrial automation / electrical control panel domain.
Location: Chennai
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle procurement of electrical & instrumentation materials (PLC, HMI, cables, panels, switchgear, etc.)
- Identify and develop new vendors / suppliers
- Manage RFQ, quotation comparison, and negotiation
- Ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards
- Coordinate with engineering, production, and stores teams
- Track purchase orders, delivery timelines, and inventory
- Maintain proper documentation and ERP/SAP entries
Requirements:
- Qualification: B.E / B.Tech in Electrical / Instrumentation / EEE
- Experience: 3–8 years in purchase/procurement
- Strong experience in industrial automation / control panel / electrical components
- Good knowledge of vendors, pricing, and negotiation skills
- Familiarity with ERP/SAP systems
