Position Overview:
As a Sales Engineer – Protective Coatings, you will be responsible for developing and managing business in the Machinery sectors. You’ll combine technical expertise with strong sales acumen to drive growth, provide expert advice on protective coating systems, and strengthen our presence in key industrial markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within OEMs and their vendors in the machinery and auto sector.
- Execute sales strategies to achieve growth and meet sales targets in the Pune region and surrounding areas.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers in industrial, commercial, and OEM sectors.
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions, highlighting technical advantages.
- Provide product demonstrations, technical support, and training to clients and channel partners.
- Conduct site visits and engage with maintenance teams, specifiers, project managers, and procurement professionals.
- Provide technical support during pre-sales and post-sales, including surface preparation guidance, application methods, and performance expectations.
- Prepare and deliver proposals, technical presentations, and coating specifications in collaboration with the technical service team.
- Monitor ongoing projects and follow up to ensure successful application and customer satisfaction.
- Track market trends, gather competitor intelligence, and provide insights to the product and marketing teams.
- Maintain detailed sales pipeline records using CRM tools, and report regularly on progress against sales targets.
- Collaborate with applicators, and internal stakeholders to execute business strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, or a related technical field.
- 2–5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in paints, coatings, or chemical industries.
- Strong understanding of industrial applications of paints and coatings.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel within the region as required.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM systems is a plus.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working in a multinational or global company.
- Exposure to B2B sales in automotive, machinery segments.
- Strong understanding of industrial applications of paints and coatings.
- Fluency in English, Hindi, and Marathi.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
