We are looking for a responsible and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee day-to-day production activities in our pickle and masala manufacturing unit. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth production, maintaining quality and hygiene standards, managing workers, and achieving daily production targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities for pickle and masala products.
- Plan and allocate manpower according to production requirements.
- Monitor the production process from raw material preparation to processing, mixing, filling, packing, and storage.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within the scheduled time.
- Monitor the correct usage and handling of raw materials, ingredients, and packaging materials.
- Maintain proper food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards throughout the production area.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control, Stores, Maintenance, and Packing teams.
- Check production equipment and report breakdowns or maintenance requirements.
- Ensure workers follow company procedures, safety rules, and SOPs.
- Monitor wastage and take measures to minimize production losses.
- Maintain production records, batch records, material usage, and daily production reports.
- Identify production issues and take corrective action in coordination with the concerned department.
- Train and guide production workers on proper procedures and workplace safety.
- Ensure proper cleaning and sanitation of machinery and production areas.
- Support implementation of GMP, HACCP, FSSAI, and other applicable food safety requirements.
- Report production status, manpower requirements, material shortages, and operational issues to the Production Manager.

- Good knowledge of pickle and masala manufacturing processes.

- Knowledge of food production, hygiene, and safety practices.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Ability to maintain production records and reports.
- Basic computer knowledge is preferred.
- Ability to work under production targets and time schedules.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Food Technology, Mechanical, Production, or a related field is preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in a production/manufacturing environment, preferably FMCG or food products.
- Good knowledge of production processes and basic machinery operations.
- Strong supervisory and team-management skills.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in shifts and manage production requirements.
- Basic computer knowledge and ability to maintain production records.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and GMP practices will be an advantage.
- Proficiency in Malayalam is required; knowledge of Hindi is an added advantage.
