Job Title: Power BI Analyst
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Power BI Analyst to design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports that support business decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI, SQL, and data modeling, with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders.
- Create data models using Power BI and optimize performance.
- Develop DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs.
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval and analysis.
- Monitor data quality and ensure report accuracy.
- Collaborate with business teams to identify reporting needs.
- Automate reporting processes and improve dashboard efficiency.
- Provide end-user training and support for Power BI reports.
- Document data models, report specifications, and development processes.
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Microsoft Power BI.
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Hands-on experience with DAX, Power Query (M Language), and data modeling.
- Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience connecting Power BI to databases, APIs, Excel, SharePoint, and cloud data sources.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Understanding of data visualization best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 2–5+ years of experience in Power BI development or business intelligence.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, or Snowflake is a plus.
- Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst certification (PL-300) is an advantage.
