Job Summary
Infra Architect responsible for designing and optimizing Cisco Unified Communication Manager and basic IP telephony solutions for an automotive industry environment ensuring reliable enterprise voice and collaboration services seamless integration with existing infrastructure and alignment with corporate standards while working from office in a day shift model with no travel requirement.
Responsibilities
Design robust Cisco Unified Communication Manager architectures that support scalable voice and collaboration services for enterprise automotive environments
Develop detailed infrastructure designs for basic IP telephony solutions that align with network performance requirements and reliability targets in complex plant and office setups
Coordinate with network and systems teams to ensure unified communication components integrate smoothly with existing data center and campus infrastructure
Optimize call routing dial plans and feature configurations to improve call quality user experience and operational efficiency across multiple automotive sites
Implement security focused configurations for unified communication systems that comply with corporate governance and automotive industry standards
Conduct capacity planning and utilization analysis to ensure the telephony infrastructure can support forecasted growth and new digital initiatives
Create comprehensive technical documentation and design blueprints that enable consistent deployment and operations by cross functional engineering teams
Collaborate with automotive domain stakeholders to translate manufacturing and office communication needs into practical and resilient telephony solutions
Perform root cause analysis for complex voice and collaboration incidents and propose permanent corrective actions that prevent recurrence
Guide adoption of standard configurations and templates that simplify operations and reduce configuration drift across the unified communication landscape
Support migration activities from legacy telephony platforms to Cisco Unified Communication Manager with minimal disruption to business operations
Work closely with information security and compliance teams to validate that voice infrastructure designs align with data protection and audit requirements
Engage with vendors and internal teams to evaluate new unified communication features and assess their value for automotive specific use cases
Qualifications
Possess eight to ten years of experience in infrastructure architecture with a strong focus on unified communication and enterprise voice systems
Demonstrate hands on expertise in Cisco Unified Communication Manager including call control configuration dial plans and feature provisioning in large environments
Exhibit practical knowledge of basic IP telephony concepts including signaling protocols qos considerations numbering plans and endpoint provisioning
Bring proven experience working in the automotive industry with understanding of plant operations distributed offices and related communication demands
Show proficiency in core enterprise networking concepts such as routing switching vlan design and network services required to support voice workloads
Have strong skills in troubleshooting complex voice issues using monitoring tools logs and analytical methods to restore service quickly
Possess experience creating solution design documents high level diagrams and implementation guides for unified communication projects
Demonstrate familiarity with collaboration tools such as voicemail conferencing and softphone clients integrated with Cisco unified communication platforms
Display effective communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities to work with operations teams business partners and external vendors
Value working from office in a structured day shift model while collaborating closely with onsite teams in a fast paced automotive environment
Maintain a continuous learning mindset and stay updated on emerging unified communication technologies and industry best practices relevant to automotive use cases
Certifications Required
Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNP Collaboration or Cisco Collaboration Specialist are preferred and will be considered an advantage.
