Job Summary
The Ozone Plant Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, monitoring, and maintenance of ozone generation systems and associated equipment. The role involves ensuring continuous plant performance, maintaining process parameters, conducting routine inspections, troubleshooting operational issues, and complying with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Plant Operations
- Operate and monitor ozone generation systems and related equipment.
- Start-up, shut-down, and regulate plant operations as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor process parameters such as ozone concentration, oxygen flow, pressure, temperature, and power consumption.
- Ensure uninterrupted operation of ozone treatment systems.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Maintain daily operational logs and shift reports.
- Record plant readings and performance data accurately.
- Report equipment abnormalities, breakdowns, or process deviations to supervisors.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
Maintenance
- Perform routine inspections of ozone generators, oxygen concentrators, compressors, pumps, valves, and control panels.
- Conduct preventive maintenance activities as per maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for major repairs and breakdowns.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and cleanliness of plant equipment and surroundings.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety procedures while handling ozone systems and electrical equipment.
- Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and environmental regulations.
- Identify and report unsafe conditions and practices.
Quality Control
- Verify that ozone output meets operational requirements.
- Assist in water quality testing and monitoring where applicable.
- Ensure process efficiency and product quality standards are maintained.
Required Qualifications
- Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Chemical, Instrumentation, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in operating ozone plants, water treatment plants (WTP), sewage treatment plants (STP), effluent treatment plants (ETP), or similar industrial systems.
- Freshers with relevant technical qualifications may also be considered.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of ozone generation technology and treatment processes.
- Understanding of electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Ability to read gauges, meters, and control panel indicators.
- Basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
- Good record-keeping and reporting abilities.
- Awareness of industrial safety practices.
Working Conditions
- Rotational shifts, including night shifts if required.
- Work at industrial plants, water treatment facilities, and project sites.
- Exposure to industrial equipment and field operations.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
