Job Summary :
This role is responsible for end-to-end production planning, scheduling, and control, ensuring that material, machinery, and manpower are perfectly aligned to meet customer’s delivery timelines while maximizing efficiency and minimizing inventory costs. The role involves high-level strategic planning, inter-departmental coordination, and driving performance through SAP systems.
Role & Responsibilities :
- Key Responsibilities
- 1. Production Planning & Scheduling
- • Develop comprehensive master production schedules (MPS), taking into account customer forecasts provided by Sales team, and material availability.
- • Planning for daily production schedules for cutting, stripping, crimping, sub-assembly, and final assembly lines.
- • Optimize production flow (routing) and work-in-progress (WIP) to ensure uninterrupted production.
- 2. Material Requirement Planning (MRP) & Inventory Control
- • Coordinate with the purchasing and store departments to ensure raw materials (wires, terminals, connectors, tape) are available exactly when needed to meet the schedule.
- • Monitor inventory levels to maintain optimum stock levels of raw materials and finished goods, avoiding overstocking and stockouts.
- • Analyze and reconcile work orders and manage inventory turnover ratios. Also maintain Lot to lot production in harness, Wires and cables, AC connecting cables etc
- 3. Production Control & Optimization
- • Monitor production processes daily to identify bottlenecks and take proactive corrective actions.
- • Measure Plan vs. Actual performance and report deviations, ensuring high adherence to the production plan.
- 4. Inter-departmental Coordination & Customer Service
- • Liaise with Sales, Quality, and Logistics teams to update customers on delivery status and align on urgent orders.
- 5. Reporting & Systems
- • Maintain accurate MIS reports, SAP systems production data.
Required Skills :
- • Experience: Proven experience in PPC within a manufacturing environment, preferably in wire harness, automotive, or cable & wires.
- • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of SAP systems and Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications :
- • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering,Production Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
