Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems in the power plant.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Conduct inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment such as transformers, generators, circuit breakers, switchgear, and control panels.
- Analyse system performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with mechanical and control systems.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including single-line diagrams, schematics, and reports.
- Supervise and train junior electrical engineers and technicians.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry best practices in electrical installations and repairs.
- Handle emergency breakdowns and provide timely solutions to minimize downtime.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 5 to 6 years of experience in the power generation sector.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, high-voltage equipment, and power distribution networks.
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting, testing, and maintaining electrical components in power plants.
- Ability to work in shifts and handle high-pressure situations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
