Responsibilities
This is a full-time, two-year Postdoctoral Research Associate position, funded by an interdisciplinary University Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme, located in Ahmedabad. The qualified Fellow will bridge the gap between auditory neuroscience and clinical audiology in cochlear implant (CI) recipients.
The Fellow will:
- perform electrophysiological assessments using EEG (electroencephalography)
- perform auditory and cognitive tests, especially auditory-visual interactions, in CI recipients.
This interdisciplinary work will be carried out in collaboration with an auditory neuroscientist, a visual cognitive scientist, and a clinical audiologist who works with cochlear implant users.
Other conditions: The Fellow is required to teach one 3-credit or 4-credit course every semester.
Key Skills: Strong background in behavioural and auditory testing of human participants, psychophysical testing, or audiological testing. Preference for candidates with additional experience in EEG/ERP recordings.
Qualification: PhD in Biology, Neuroscience, Cognitive Neuroscience, or Audiological Sciences
