- Conduct eye exams to diagnose vision problems and recommend appropriate treatments.
- Prescribe corrective lenses, including glasses or contact lenses.
- Dispense optical devices based on patient needs and prescriptions.
- Perform refractions to determine accurate lens power for each patient.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient exams, test results, and treatment plans.
- Educate patients on eye care, lens usage, and general vision health.
- Identify and manage common eye conditions like myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, etc.
- Refer patients to ophthalmologists or specialists when necessary.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in optometry through workshops, courses, or seminars.
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and safety standards in optical practice.
