Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Site Engineer to oversee on-site construction activities, ensure technical excellence, and maintain rigorous safety standards. You will be the primary point of contact between the project management team and the ground execution, ensuring that projects in Ahmedabad are delivered on time, within budget, and according to structural specifications.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Supervision & Execution
- Supervise day-to-day operations on-site to ensure work aligns with architectural and structural drawings.
- Monitor progress against the project schedule and report any deviations to the Project Manager.
- Manage and coordinate with sub-contractors and local labor forces (mistrys/labor gangs).
2. Quality Control & Assurance
- Conduct regular inspections of work-in-progress (e.g., reinforcement checking, shuttering, and concrete pouring).
- Ensure that all materials used meet the required quality standards and Indian Standard (IS) codes.
- Manage the on-site testing of materials (e.g., cube tests, slump tests).
3. Measurement & Billing
- Accurately record measurements of work executed on-site for contractor billing.
- Verify the Quantity Survey (QS) data and manage the Material Indent process to prevent wastage.
- Maintain a daily site diary and progress reports (DPR).
4. Safety & Compliance
- Enforce strict health and safety protocols (PPE usage, scaffolding stability).
- Ensure compliance with local Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) or AUDA regulations regarding site safety and environmental impact.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in residential, commercial, or industrial construction.
- Technical Skills: * Proficiency in reading blueprints and CAD drawings.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel for reporting.
- Familiarity with total station and leveling instruments.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Languages: Fluency in Gujarati and Hindi is highly preferred for effective communication with local laborers.
Preferred Local Knowledge
- Familiarity with Ahmedabad-based vendors and material suppliers.
- Knowledge of local soil conditions and weather-related construction adjustments (e.g., managing concrete curing during Gujarat’s extreme summer heat).
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
