About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Tanzu Support L2 (Senior Technical Specialist) to support, manage, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise container platforms and application modernization environments.
The role involves working with VMware Tanzu, Kubernetes, Docker, microservices, CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, monitoring, logging, and automation technologies. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in application modernization and Kubernetes-based environments, along with the ability to work in a 24×7 enterprise support environment.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor, manage, and support enterprise platforms for containerized applications.
Deploy, configure, and manage VMware Tanzu and Kubernetes environments.
Develop and implement platform components to support containers and microservices.
Perform platform health checks and troubleshoot infrastructure, platform, and application-related issues.
Work with VMware Global Support Services (GSS) to troubleshoot and resolve issues in Tanzu environments.
Deploy and orchestrate containers using VMware Tanzu, Kubernetes, Docker, and related technologies.
Build, update, and manage Docker images.
Configure and manage configuration management tools such as Ansible and Chef.
Build, maintain, and update CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and other CI tools.
Work with Git, Artifactory, Docker Registry, and other DevOps tools in globally distributed environments.
Deploy and manage microservices using container orchestration platforms.
Support application modernization initiatives and containerization projects.
Develop automation solutions using scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
Implement and manage solutions for application monitoring, logging, security, and scalability.
Work with Active Directory, LDAP, DNS, DHCP, Firewall, and related enterprise infrastructure services.
Ensure optimal utilization of cloud and containerization platforms.
Monitor resource utilization and identify potential over-provisioning and capacity-related concerns.
Ensure effective utilization of key cloud and container platform capabilities.
Collaborate with vendor teams, customer teams, and senior stakeholders for platform operations and issue resolution.
Work in a 24×7 enterprise support environment and participate in shift-based operations.
Drive innovation and continuous improvement in platform capabilities and operational processes.
Perform additional responsibilities based on business and customer requirements.
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience with VMware Tanzu and Kubernetes.
Experience in container orchestration using Kubernetes, VMware Tanzu, and Docker.
Strong understanding of microservices architecture and application modernization.
Experience with Docker image creation, updating, and management.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as:
Jenkins
Git
Artifactory
Docker Registry
Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Chef.
Knowledge of monitoring, logging, security, and scalability solutions for containerized applications.
Experience with scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
Good understanding of Active Directory, LDAP, DNS, DHCP, and Firewall technologies.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a 24×7 rotational shift environment.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualification
Any Graduate in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
The following certifications are mandatory :
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
VMware Certified Advanced Professional certification
Experience working in enterprise IT infrastructure, application modernization, cloud, and BFSI environments will be an added advantage.
