The Assistant Sales Manager (Rooms) is responsible for driving hotel room revenue by identifying new corporate and leisure accounts, managing key client relationships, and executing strategic sales plans
. They work closely with the Director of Sales, Revenue Management, and Operations to maximize hotel occupancy and average daily rate (ADR).
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development & Lead Generation: Proactively source new corporate clients, travel agencies, and leisure groups through cold calling, networking, and industry events to capture market share.
- Account Management: Oversee and grow a portfolio of existing accounts. Handle corporate contracts, negotiate room rates, and track room nights production and revenue.
- Site Inspections & Client Presentations: Conduct personalized property tours and presentations for potential clients, showcasing guest rooms, suites, and hotel amenities.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Coordinate with the Hotel Revenue Management and Reservations teams to optimize rate strategies, manage room allocations, and promote cross-selling of hotel facilities like spas and dining.
- Market Analysis: Monitor competitor rate strategies, market trends, and corporate travel spending patterns to maintain a competitive edge.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Prepare weekly/monthly sales activity reports, maintain up-to-date client data in the hotel's CRM systems (such as Salesforce or Opera), and assist in accurate revenue forecasting.
- Customer Service: Address client queries, resolve booking concerns, and ensure a seamless experience from initial inquiry to guest check-out.
- Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of proactive hotel sales experience, specifically focusing on corporate room sales and B2B & B2C hospitality.
- Education: Degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, networking, and relationship-building skills. Proficiency in MS Office and Hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) is required.
- Soft Skills: Highly motivated, target-driven, and capable of working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
