Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Design Engineering Manager to lead our Design & Development team. The candidate will be responsible for managing product design activities, leading engineering teams, coordinating with cross-functional departments, and ensuring timely execution of projects while maintaining quality and cost objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Design Engineering team for product development and improvement projects.
Develop innovative mechanical designs based on customer and business requirements.
Review and approve engineering drawings, 3D models, BOMs, and technical specifications.
Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchase, Project Management, and Sales teams for smooth project execution.
Ensure compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Drive design optimization activities for cost reduction and product performance improvement.
Manage prototype development, testing, validation, and product launch activities.
Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and root cause analysis for engineering issues.
Monitor project timelines, resource allocation, and departmental KPIs.
Mentor and develop engineers to enhance technical capabilities and team performance.
Support customer audits, technical discussions, and new business development activities.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of Mechanical Design Principles.
Expertise in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, or NX.
Experience in Product Design & Development, Design Validation, and Engineering Change Management.
Strong understanding of GD&T, DFMEA, PFMEA, APQP, PPAP, and Root Cause Analysis.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal, welding, casting, forging, and assembly.
Excellent project management, leadership, and team handling skills.
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Eligibility Criteria
B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
12–15 years of relevant Design Engineering experience.
