Role SummarySeeking an Imperva WAF Engineer to manage, configure, and support WAF solutions across cloud and on?prem environments. The role involves traffic analysis, incident response, and collaboration with cross?functional teams to secure enterprise web applications.ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain Imperva WAF for enterprise applications.Analyze HTTP/HTTPS traffic to identify and mitigate threats.Troubleshoot WAF issues, tune policies, and reduce false positives.Apply web security best practices (OWASP Top 10, TLS/SSL, authentication, input validation).Monitor and respond to security events, alerts, and logs.Collaborate with app, network, and cloud teams across AWS, Azure, and GCP.Support networking components: DNS, TCP/IP, load balancers, firewalls, proxies, VPN.Contribute to incident response, RCA, and SOP documentation.Maintain and improve WAF configs, automation scripts, and runbooks.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years in application security/WAF engineering; 3+ years with Imperva WAF.Strong understanding of HTTP/HTTPS protocols and encryption.Knowledge of web threats (XSS, SQLi, CSRF).Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).Strong troubleshooting across networking fundamentals.Familiarity with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, ELK).Scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).Exposure to DevSecOps, CI/CD integrations, and API?based automation.Understanding of threat intelligence and integration with WAF/SIEM.
