Role: Manager -Manufacturing
Job Summary and Mission:
Plans and manages the overall production activities of the plant. Responsible for production schedules and performance standards for measuring progress. Monitors daily operations to identify and resolve problem areas relating to staffing, scheduling, tooling, safety, quality and production arrangement. May direct maintenance of facility and equipment.

- Assess external developments and develop risk mitigation strategies in the area of responsibility
Key Position Accountabilities:
- Lead the Safety Leadership Committee and develop the site Safety Flight Plan and monitor progress and clear any organizational barriers that may prevent achieving goal of 100% Safe. Establish and enforce safety environment with clear roles and responsibilities and regularly monitor performance using Safety Reviews.
- Responsible for plant financial performance.
- Responsible to assure customer satisfaction needs are meet - lead time, on-time delivery, quality of product.
- Responsible to assure proper manpower levels are in place to support demand.
- Responsible for reducing costs through lean and 6 Sigma programs.
Knowledge & Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of functional/major business segment, with broad understanding of overall business objectives. Significant skills in translating strategy into tactical plans. Strong leadership and management skills.
- Overall understanding of business objectives and influence of department on achievement of those objectives.
Financial/Business Accountability:
- Typically, accountable for the performance of: - Products and/or discipline within a small business unit or staff function.
- Primary accountability for the performance of: Function within a business unit and/or own work.
Strategy:
- Develops the tactical plan for the area of accountability as a reference point to execute strategy.
- Identifies emerging issues relevant to area of accountability and adjusts execution plan to address issues.
- Primary responsibility for carrying out all, or portions of, the execution plan relating to specific area of accountability.

Typical Education or Equivalent Work Experience:
- Bachelor of Engineering
- 10+ years management with functional expertise.
Comments:
- Experience In CNC Machine programming, carbide machining. Exposure to Reineker/ ANCA/ ROLAMATIC Machines. Solid Carbide Drill manufacturing.
