Reports to : People Manager – Customer Care
To support the People Manager – Customer Care by managing day-to-day HR operations, employee lifecycle processes, and administrative execution. The role is responsible for ensuring smooth delivery of HR services, compliance adherence, and operational excellence, enabling the People Manager to focus on strategic initiatives and business partnering.
Fixed Term Contract (FTC): 2 year period.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee and manager queries on HR policies, processes, and day-to-day people matters.
- Manage HR operations across the employee lifecycle, including timekeeping, leave, attendance, payroll coordination, and related administration.
- Ensure all People processes are executed accurately, consistently, and in compliance with local regulations and Cathay standards.
- Maintain and update HR systems, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and timely reporting.
- Prepare dashboards and reports (e.g., headcount, turnover, recruitment status) to support decision-making by the People Manager.
- Coordinate recruitment activities including interview scheduling, candidate communication, and hiring tracker management.
- Support onboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition from candidate to employee.
- Advise and support managers on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and performance-related concerns.
- Deliver and support engagement, performance management, and development initiatives in partnership with local and regional People teams.
- Facilitate employee committee interactions, working groups, and meetings, and support emergency and crisis response responsibilities where required.
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
- Human Resources or related discipline is an advantage
Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience
- At least 5 years recent experience working in a generalist Human Resource role
- Experience of working in airlines in an advantage
- Able to handle a high-pressure environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrable ability to handle conflict and mediate to achieve a timely and positive outcome
- Working knowledge of Human Resource compliance and processes
- Familiar with Indian Labor Laws
- Collaborative and works well with large teams
- Positive, Proactive and energetic
- High levels of integrity, trusted and able to exercise discretion
