Job Description – Technical Project Manager (CaaS / OpenShift Transformation)
The program involves infrastructure delivery, cloud-native application onboarding, VMware to OpenShift virtualization migration, integration with internal platforms, and stakeholder management across multiple business units.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent the customer Core Delivery team in engagements with internal and external stakeholders
- Lead and drive project governance meetings, steering committee reviews, planning workshops, and technical discussions
- Create and manage project schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables
- Coordinate with platform, infrastructure, network, security, and application teams for end-to-end integrations
- Manage onboarding of CaaS infrastructure and Cloud-Native Network Functions (CNFs)
- Coordinate VMware to OpenShift Virtualization migration activities
- Engage and manage Cyber Security Assurance processes, security assessments, and compliance activities
- Track and manage project documentation, status reporting, RAID logs, and executive dashboards
- Raise and manage PTWs (Permit to Work) and operational change activities
- Ensure timely escalation and mitigation of risks/issues impacting delivery timelines
- Work closely with OEMs/vendors including HPE and Red Hat
- Manage cross-functional and geographically distributed teams
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and optimize delivery processes
Mandatory Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in Technical Project Management within Telecom or IT Infrastructure domains
- Strong experience managing large-scale Cloud Transformation or Container Platform programs
- Hands-on understanding of:
- Red Hat OpenShift
- Kubernetes
- VMware Virtualization
- OpenShift Virtualization / KubeVirt
- Cloud-Native Infrastructure
- Experience working with Telecom Network workloads / CNFs / VNFs
- Strong stakeholder management and vendor coordination experience
- Experience managing Infrastructure deployment, integration, migration, and onboarding activities
- Good understanding of networking, IP connectivity, security compliance, and data center operations
- Experience handling executive-level reporting and governance
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to Baremetal OpenShift deployments
- Knowledge of Telco Cloud / NFVI / CNIS platforms
