Role Summary
The Senior Finance & Compliance Executive will own the company's finance control and compliance function.
This is not a routine accounting role. The primary responsibility is to ensure the accuracy of financial records, strengthen internal controls, verify the work of the accounting team, maintain statutory compliance, and provide management with reliable financial information.
The ideal candidate should have strong reconciliation skills, analytical thinking, and the confidence to identify discrepancies before they become business issues.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Controls & Reconciliation
- Verify and cross-check accounting entries posted by the Accounts team.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of all major ledgers.
- Reconcile bank accounts, vendor balances, customer balances, GST ledgers, and marketplace settlements.
- Identify accounting discrepancies and ensure timely correction.
- Monitor outstanding advances, receivables, and payables.
- Ensure books are accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
Books of Accounts
- Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts.
- Review journal entries before final posting.
- Ensure proper accounting of expenses, purchases, sales, inventory, and fixed assets.
- Monitor accounting accuracy across all business transactions.
Statutory Compliance
- Manage GST compliance including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual returns, reconciliations, and notices.
- Handle TDS compliance and return filings.
- Ensure timely PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, Labour Welfare Fund and other statutory filings.
- Coordinate with consultants wherever required.
- Track statutory due dates and maintain 100% compliance.
Monthly & Year-End Closing
- Complete monthly financial closure within defined timelines.
- Prepare trial balance and review ledgers.
- Ensure all provisions, accruals, depreciation, and adjustments are accounted for.
- Support annual financial statement preparation.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors and tax auditors.
Audit & Internal Controls
- Coordinate internal and statutory audits.
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documents.
- Resolve audit observations.
- Strengthen financial control processes.
- Ensure documentation is maintained for every financial transaction.
Vendor & Customer Finance Coordination
- Follow up with customer finance teams for outstanding payments, deductions, debit notes, and reconciliations.
- Coordinate with vendor finance teams for account confirmations and ledger reconciliation.
- Resolve accounting disputes with external stakeholders.
- Maintain healthy working relationships with customer finance departments.
Reporting & MIS
- Prepare Monthly Management Reports.

- Highlight financial risks and business observations to management.
- Present actionable insights rather than only numbers.
Process Improvement
- Improve finance processes through automation and standardization.
- Develop reconciliation checklists and SOPs.
- Strengthen internal financial controls.
- Identify opportunities to reduce accounting errors.
- Improve month-end closing timelines.
- Continuously recommend process improvements for finance operations.
Must Have
- Strong accounting fundamentals.
- Excellent reconciliation skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Power Query preferred).
- Experience with Zoho Books/Zoho Inventory, Tally, Busy, SAP, or similar ERP.
- Thorough knowledge of GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, and statutory compliance.
- Experience handling audits independently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong follow-up and communication skills.
- Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve them proactively.

Preferred Qualifications
- B.Com / M.Com
- CA Inter / CMA Inter preferred.
- 5–8 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or Compliance.
- Experience in Manufacturing, FMCG, Consumer Goods, or E-commerce preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
