Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Billing Engineer to manage project billing, quantity verification, client billing, subcontractor billing, and cost reconciliation for infrastructure and construction projects. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of BOQs, rate analysis, measurement sheets, contract conditions, and billing procedures while ensuring accurate and timely submission of bills.
Key Responsibilities
Project Billing
- Prepare and submit client Running Account (RA) Bills and Final Bills as per contract terms.
- Verify executed work quantities from site measurements and approved drawings.
- Prepare detailed measurement sheets (MB) for completed work.
- Ensure accurate billing in accordance with BOQs, work orders, and contract agreements.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project teams for bill certification and approvals.
Quantity Surveying
- Review and verify Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
- Perform quantity take-offs from construction drawings.
- Prepare quantity reconciliation statements.
- Monitor actual executed quantities against BOQ quantities.
- Identify quantity variations and prepare variation statements.
Subcontractor Billing
- Verify subcontractor work measurements.
- Prepare and certify subcontractor RA Bills and Final Bills.
- Reconcile quantities and contract values with subcontractors.
- Coordinate with the Accounts Department for payment processing.
Cost Control & Budget Monitoring
- Monitor project costs against approved budgets.
- Prepare cost analysis reports and variance reports.
- Assist in forecasting project billing and cash flow.
- Track material consumption and work progress for billing purposes.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain billing records, measurement books, and supporting documents.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly billing status reports.
- Maintain records of work orders, amendments, approvals, and payment certificates.
- Support project audits by providing necessary billing documentation.
Coordination
- Coordinate with Site Engineers, Project Managers, Planning Engineers, Procurement, and Accounts teams.
- Attend project review meetings related to billing and project progress.
- Follow up with clients and consultants for bill approvals and payment status.
Compliance
- Ensure all billing activities comply with contractual terms and company policies.
- Verify statutory compliance related to invoices, GST, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure proper documentation for claims, variations, and additional work orders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Certification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management is an added advantage.
Experience
- 3–8 years of experience as a Billing Engineer in infrastructure, construction, real estate, or EPC projects.
- Experience in residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity surveying, and billing procedures.
- Expertise in RA Bills, Final Bills, Measurement Books (MB), and quantity reconciliation.
- Knowledge of contract management, variation claims, and rate analysis.
- Familiarity with IS Codes and construction specifications.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with ERP software (SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar construction ERP) is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
