We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer (GIS) with 8–13 years of expertise in 220 kV GIS Substation Projects, specializing in Erection, Testing, Commissioning, and Energization activities. The candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of GIS equipment, protection systems, high-voltage testing, and project execution while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute erection, installation, testing, commissioning, and energization of 220 kV GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) equipment.
- Supervise installation of GIS bays, Circuit Breakers, Disconnectors, Earthing Switches, CTs, PTs/CVTs, Surge Arresters, and associated HV equipment.
- Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning tests as per OEM recommendations and relevant IEC/IS standards.
- Coordinate with OEM engineers during GIS assembly, SF6 gas filling, vacuum testing, and commissioning.
- Conduct insulation resistance (IR), contact resistance, timing tests, primary injection, secondary injection, CT/PT testing, breaker timing tests, SF6 gas density checks, and functional testing.
- Verify and commission protection relays, control panels, interlocking schemes, SCADA, and communication systems.
- Review engineering drawings, SLDs, GA drawings, cable schedules, protection schemes, and commissioning procedures.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, protection, and client teams for smooth project execution.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
- Prepare commissioning reports, inspection records, punch point clearance reports, and handover documentation.
- Support shutdown planning, energization activities, and final project handover to the client.
- Attend client meetings and provide technical updates on project progress.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in 220 kV GIS Substation Projects.
- Expertise in GIS Erection, Testing, Commissioning, and Energization.
- Hands-on knowledge of protection relays, SCADA, control & relay panels, and HV testing equipment.
- Familiarity with IEC, IS, and utility standards for GIS substations.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and protection logic diagrams.
- Excellent troubleshooting, coordination, communication, and documentation skills.
- Knowledge of QA/QC procedures and HSE practices for EHV substations.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
