Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Extended Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for nurturing and educating children in the 1.5-4.5 years age group, focusing on their cognitive, emotional, and social development. This role requires creativity, patience, and a deep passion for early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Delivery:
- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans in line with our experiential and play-based curriculum.
- Foster creativity, curiosity, and independent thinking in children through thematic activities and structured learning experiences.
Classroom Management:
- Maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Guide children’s behaviour positively, encouraging good manners, cooperation, and teamwork.
Child Development:
- Observe and assess children’s developmental progress, providing individualized attention and support as needed.
- Encourage the development of motor skills, communication, and emotional regulation.
Parent Interaction:
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behaviour, and overall development.
- Conduct parent-teacher meetings to discuss milestones and areas of improvement.
Health and Safety:
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children during indoor and outdoor activities.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with co-teachers, teaching assistants, and support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to curriculum planning and school events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience teaching in a preschool setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with young children.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
