We are seeking a skilled and passionate Demi Chef de Partie (Pastry & Bakery) to join our culinary team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality bakery and pastry products, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting daily kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, breads, cookies, muffins, and desserts.
- Ensure consistency in product quality, presentation, and taste.
- Assist in planning and developing new bakery and pastry items.
- Monitor ingredient stock levels and coordinate requisitions.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the bakery section.
- Follow standard recipes and portion control guidelines.
- Operate and maintain bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and HACCP standards.
- Minimize food wastage and control production costs.
- Assist the Head Chef/Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations.
- Train and guide junior kitchen staff when required.
Requirements
- Diploma or Certification in Bakery & Pastry Arts is preferred.
- 3 to 7 years of experience in bakery and pastry production.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and dessert preparation.
- Experience in commercial kitchens, hotels, restaurants, malls, or multiplex food outlets.
- Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Cake decoration and dessert plating.
- Inventory and stock management.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Creativity in pastry and bakery product development.
