Job Description :
An X-Ray Technician (Radiographer) is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures to help physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions. The technician operates X-ray equipment, ensures patient safety, follows radiation protection protocols, and maintains high-quality imaging standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform X-ray examinations as prescribed by physicians.
- Prepare and position patients correctly for imaging procedures.
- Operate digital and conventional X-ray equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow radiation safety guidelines and use protective equipment to minimize exposure.
- Ensure high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining patient comfort.
- Verify patient identity and explain procedures before imaging.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
- Perform routine quality checks and basic maintenance of X-ray equipment.
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and hospital protocols.
- Coordinate with radiologists, doctors, and other healthcare professionals for timely reporting.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Radiography/Medical Imaging Technology.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of radiographic techniques and radiation safety.
- Ability to operate digital radiography (DR/CR) systems.
- Good communication and patient-handling skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in emergency and high-pressure environments.
- Basic computer and PACS/RIS knowledge.
Experience:
- 0–3 years of experience in hospitals, diagnostic centers, occupational health centers, airports, ports, or industrial healthcare facilities.
- Experience in trauma, emergency, and occupational health imaging is an added advantage.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
