Desired Skills:
- Experience of working on assembly and integration of aerostructure and airborne systems
- Expertise in drilling, reaming, grinding, tapping, riveting, helicoils insertion & removal, torque application etc.
- Experience in performing sheet metal and metallic fabrication tasks using hand and power tools
- Familiarity with Composite materials and manufacturing processes including layup, structural bonding and structural repairs
- Experience in usage of measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, Feeler gauges, Micrometers etc.
- Ability to read and understand 2D & 3D drawings and GD&T features in drawings
- Diagnostic skills to identify assembly issues and troubleshooting skills
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for mechanical assembly and integration of the UAV
- Assemble, install, rework and modify aircraft structural, mechanical, hydraulic and electro-mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, and systems
- Make structural provisions for components installation in the UAV
- Perform a variety of fasteners installation and structural integration operations including Installation of control linkages on UAV
- Perform alterations and repairs including composite structural reworks as per design requirements
- Perform visual inspection of all components and finished subassemblies and maintain good quality of work with minimal errors
- Manage production data generation and captures critical data during manufacturing
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety procedures including proper handling of materials, chemicals, tools, and equipments. Responsible for maintaining 5S adherence in the shopfloor
- If required, should travel to field testing locations for testing support, problem diagnostics and field repair activities
