Role Overview
As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving mutual fund distribution and business growth within your assigned geography. The role involves identifying and managing distribution partners, executing sales strategies, and ensuring strong market presence. You will play a critical part in achieving business targets and building long-term relationships with key partners.
Key Responsibilities
1. Market Development & Sales Execution
- Identify, onboard, and manage relationships with mutual fund distributors, including National Distributors, RIAs, Banks, Brokers and potential institutional investors.
- Execute region-specific sales strategies to achieve business targets, leveraging a consultative and relationship-driven approach.
- Represent the company at industry events, seminars, and distributor forums to enhance brand visibility and market reach.
- Build and nurture long-term partnerships with key stakeholders of financial distribution houses.
- Act as a trusted advisor to distribution partners, providing market insights and product knowledge to drive engagement and sales.
- Develop and implement actionable sales plans aligned with company objectives and market opportunities.
- Utilize data-driven insights to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Expand and deepen the distribution network by identifying and activating new partners in the assigned geography.
- Motivate, train, and support MFDs and distributors to maximize their business potential with our products.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through proactive relationship management and prompt resolution of issues with the help of R&T team present in the geography.
- Identify and capitalize on cross-selling opportunities for other investment products as the product suite expands.
- Work closely with the central product, marketing, and analytics teams to ensure successful product launches and go-to-market initiatives.
- Provide market intelligence and feedback to support product development and positioning
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in mutual fund sales, with a proven track record in business development and relationship management.
- Prior experience with Asset Management Companies (AMCs) is essential.
- Strong network across mutual fund distributors, National Distributors, RIAs, banks, and brokers in the assigned region.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, build new markets, and deliver results in a start-up or greenfield environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
