MES Aveva– Manager, Functional Transformation
As a Manager at Deloitte Consulting Services, you will design, develop, and deploy enterprise-scale software solutions, lead the creation of robust pipelines and manage code deployment across environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional, global teams to translate functional requirements into effective deliverables, independently guiding and mentoring junior team members. Your role spans the full project lifecycle, including estimation, planning, execution, and tracking key metrics for analysis, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of solutions.
Work you'll do
As a Manager, Functional Transformation on the Enterprise Performance team, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the design of AVEVA MES solutions aligned to client business and manufacturing requirements.
- Facilitating workshops to capture requirements, validate processes, define future-state MES capabilities, and shape functional and technical architecture.
- Supporting end-to-end implementation activities across design, configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare.
- Designing integrations between AVEVA MES and enterprise and plant systems, including SAP, product lifecycle management, laboratory information management systems, supervisory control and data acquisition, programmable logic controllers, and distributed control systems.
- Contributing to proposals, solution development, and MES-led manufacturing transformation initiatives across process and discrete manufacturing environments.

The Enterprise Performance team leverages deep industry knowledge, strong analytical skills, and practical approaches to address clients’ toughest business challenges. Our professionals as part of the Supply Chain Network Operations (SCNO) service line within Enterprise Performance focus on helping organizations achieve sustainable competitive advantage throughout their operations, spanning product development, planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and distribution. We excel at translating strategic objectives into tangible, measurable outcomes at the operational level. By aligning high-level goals with frontline execution, we ensure our clients realize real value and improved performance across every stage of their supply chain and operations.
Location: Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai
Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM or 2 PM to 11 PM IST, as per business requirements
Qualifications: B.Tech/ BE/MCA/ M.Tech
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing systems, including 5+ years of hands-on experience with AVEVA MES.
- Experience configuring, customizing, and deploying AVEVA MES solutions.
- Experience with AVEVA System Platform and AVEVA Historian.
- Experience applying ISA-95 principles in manufacturing execution system design.
- Experience integrating manufacturing execution systems with enterprise resource planning and plant systems, including SAP, supervisory control and data acquisition, programmable logic controllers, and distributed control systems.
- Experience with one or more of the following: C#/.NET, JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL Server, Representational State Transfer (REST) application programming interfaces, web services, Open Platform Communications Unified Architecture (OPC-UA), Open Platform Communications Data Access (OPC-DA), or Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT).
Preferred:
- Experience with AVEVA Connect, Industrial Internet of Things platforms, or cloud-enabled manufacturing architectures.
- Experience in regulated manufacturing environments and with compliance requirements such as Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Practice (GxP), Good Automated Manufacturing Practice 5 (GAMP5), or 21 CFR Part 11.
- Experience with manufacturing modules including quality, genealogy, traceability, work-in-process tracking, overall equipment effectiveness, downtime, dispatching, or production execution.
- Experience in process manufacturing industries such as chemicals, life sciences, food and beverage, oil and gas, or power and utilities.
- Experience with AVEVA PI System, AVEVA Edge, InTouch OMI, or AVEVA Unified Engineering.
