Job Summary
The Finance Intern will support the Finance & Accounts team in daily accounting operations, financial documentation, invoice processing, reconciliations, and record maintenance. The intern will gain practical exposure to hospital finance processes, statutory compliance, budgeting, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining financial records and supporting daily accounting activities.
- Verify, scan, file, and organize invoices, vouchers, receipts, and other financial documents.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Assist in preparing payment vouchers and processing vendor invoices.
- Help reconcile bank statements, petty cash, and ledger accounts.
- Update financial trackers, spreadsheets, and MIS reports.
- Assist with billing reconciliation for insurance, corporate, and patient accounts.
- Support monthly closing activities and audit documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial records and sensitive information.
- Coordinate with internal departments for document collection and verification.
- Assist during internal and statutory audits.
- Perform other finance and administrative tasks assigned by the Finance Manager.
Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed:
- B.Com / M.Com
- BBA (Finance)
- MBA (Finance)
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Good analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and documentation skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
Good to Have
- Knowledge of Tally ERP, SAP, Oracle, or other accounting software.
- Understanding of GST, TDS, and basic taxation concepts.
- Exposure to hospital billing or healthcare finance.
- Familiarity with Hospital Information Systems (HIS).
