Position Overview
We are looking for a technically sound and result-oriented Field Sales Engineer with 2–9 years of experience in Oil & Gas / Lubricants / Industrial Sales.
The candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing industrial clients, promoting lubricating oils and greases, and handling the complete sales cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit industrial buyers, manufacturing units, and potential customers to generate leads and develop new business.
- Promote and sell lubricating oils, greases, and allied industrial products.
- Conduct product presentations and recommend suitable technical solutions.
- Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities and prospects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industrial clients, distributors, channel partners, and decision-makers.
- Prepare and submit quotations and commercial proposals.
- Participate in tenders, negotiations, and commercial discussions.
- Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to pitching, negotiation, order closure, billing, invoicing, and payment collection.
- Follow up on outstanding payments and ensure timely collections.
- Provide technical support and coordinate with internal teams for troubleshooting and customer requirements.
- Continuously develop the sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, and market visits.
- Identify new customers, applications, industries, and business opportunities.
- Contribute to the company's overall sales and business development objectives.
Industry Experience – Mandatory
Candidates must have experience in the Oil & Gas / Lubricants industry.
Experience with companies such as the following will be preferred:
Shell | Mobil | Castrol | Indian Oil | BPCL | HPCL | Blaser | Quaker | Houghton | ITW | TRIM | Magnacool | Petronas | Caltex | Gulf | Valvoline | Klüber | Bechem
Experience in related industrial sectors such as bearings, tooling, steel, industrial supplies, or gearboxes can be considered only if the candidate also has relevant Oil & Gas / Lubricants industry exposure.
Candidate Requirements
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas / Lubricants / Industrial Sales.
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- MBA in Marketing preferred.
- Strong experience in industrial B2B sales.
- Excellent English communication skills – Mandatory.
- Strong presentation, sales pitching, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Experience dealing with industrial buyers, distributors, channel partners, and decision-makers.
- Ability to independently generate leads and develop a sales pipeline.
- Strong commercial understanding of quotations, tenders, negotiations, billing, and collections.
- Good technical understanding of industrial lubricants and applications.
- Willingness to travel extensively for industrial visits and client meetings.
- Proactive, confident, target-oriented, and business-focused approach.
