An Accountant with Tally Knowledge is responsible for managing daily financial transactions, maintaining the general ledger, and generating financial reports specifically using Tally ERP 9 or TallyPrime software. They ensure all business accounts are accurate, compliant, and up to date within the Tally ecosystem.
Job SummaryThe primary objective of this role is to handle end-to-end accounting operations using Tally. The accountant will leverage the software to automate data entry, track inventory, process payroll, and ensure swift tax compliance.
Key Responsibilities with Tally
- Voucher Entry: Post daily receipts, payments, sales, purchases, and journal vouchers directly into Tally.
- Ledger Management: Create and maintain accurate customer, vendor, and expense ledger accounts.
- Bank Reconciliation: Upload bank statements into Tally to perform regular, accurate automated bank reconciliations.
- Statutory Compliance: Generate GST reports (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), TDS returns, and E-Way bills directly through Tally modules.
- Financial Reporting: Extract precise Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss statements, and Trial Balances from Tally for management review.
- Inventory Tracking: Maintain stock groups, item details, and godown transfers within the Tally inventory management module.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com), Finance, or Accounting.
- Certification: A formal certification in Tally ERP 9 or TallyPrime is highly preferred.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience handling full-charge bookkeeping inside Tally.
Required Skills
- Tally Expertise: Mastery of Tally shortcuts, inventory features, payroll configuration, and multi-currency handling.
- Taxation Knowledge: Practical understanding of local tax systems (like GST, TDS, and TCS) and how they integrate into Tally.
- Advanced MS Excel: Ability to export Tally data into Excel for advanced data analysis and custom reporting.
- Speed and Accuracy: High-speed numerical data entry skills paired with a low error rate.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
