Job Summary
The MIS Executive is responsible for collecting, maintaining, analyzing, and presenting institutional data to support academic, administrative, and management decision-making. The role involves preparing reports related to students, faculty, admissions, examinations, HR, accreditation, and statutory compliance while ensuring data accuracy, confidentiality, and timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Data Management
- Maintain and update institutional databases for students, faculty, and staff.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across departments.
- Verify and validate information received from various departments.
Report Generation
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual MIS reports.
- Generate reports related to admissions, attendance, examinations, placements, HR, finance, and academic performance.
- Develop customized reports as required by the management.
Dashboard & Analytics
- Create dashboards and performance reports using Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or other reporting tools.
- Analyze institutional data and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and prepare trend analysis reports.
Data Coordination
- Coordinate with departments to collect and consolidate required information.
- Support NAAC, NBA, AICTE, UGC, AKTU, and other statutory data requirements.
- Assist in preparing documentation for audits, inspections, and accreditation processes.
System Administration
- Maintain digital records and ensure proper backup of institutional data.
- Assist in ERP data management and troubleshooting.
- Ensure compliance with data security and confidentiality policies.
Documentation
- Prepare presentations, charts, and management reports.
- Maintain records of institutional statistics and historical data.
- Archive reports for future reference.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
Experience
- 1–4 years of experience in MIS reporting, preferably in an educational institution.
- Freshers with excellent analytical and Excel skills may also be considered.
Required Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, IF, SUMIFS, Charts, Conditional Formatting, Data Validation, Power Query).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with ERP software used in educational institutions.
- Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
