Position: QA/QC Engineer
Position Overview
We are seeking Quality Control Engineer.The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all machined parts and assemblies meet stringent customer specifications, engineering drawings, and industry standards. The QC Engineer will work closely with the production team to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement .
Key Responsibilities
1. Inspection & Testing
· Perform First-Article, In-process, and Final inspections on CNC-machined & Fabricated components.
· Interpret complex engineering drawings, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
· Proficiently use a wide range of precision measuring instruments, including but not limited to: Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, thread gauges, dial indicators, and pin gauges .
· Oversee incoming raw material inspection, verifying material test certificates (MTCs) against specifications .
2. Quality Assurance & Process Improvement
· Maintain accurate and detailed records of all quality inspections, test results, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and compliance documentation .
· Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for non-conformances and defects, utilizing problem-solving tools such as 8D, Fishbone (Ishikawa), 5 Whys, and 7 QC Tools .
· Implement effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to eliminate recurrence of quality issues and reduce rework and scrap costs (COPQ) .
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
· Diploma or Bachelor's degree (B.E. / B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field .
Experience:
· 1 to 5 years of experience in a Quality Control role, specifically within a CNC machine shop or precision manufacturing environment .
· Proven experience with line inspection, incoming inspection, and final inspection in a machine shop setting .
Technical Skills:
· Expert ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and welding symbols .
· knowledge with a wide range of inspection instruments .
· Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) for reporting. Soft Skills:
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
· Experience with ISO/AS quality management systems .
· Experience with ERP/QMS software .
· Experience with NDT methods (visual, UT, DP) is an advantage .
