Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Draftsman to prepare accurate technical drawings and documentation for construction, civil, electrical, and engineering projects. The ideal candidate should have strong proficiency in CAD software, the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications, and experience working in a fast-paced project environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings using AutoCAD and other CAD software.
- Develop and modify engineering drawings based on project requirements and client specifications.
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, architects, and site teams to ensure drawing accuracy.
- Prepare shop drawings, layout drawings, as-built drawings, and construction documentation.
- Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, client requirements, and applicable codes.
- Maintain proper revision control and document management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage and organize project drawings using Document Management Systems (DMS).
- Review drawings for completeness, quality, and accuracy before submission.
- Support project teams by providing technical drafting assistance and design updates.
- Train and guide junior drafting team members in digital drafting tools and best practices, when required.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, CAD Drafting, or a related discipline.
- Relevant certification in AutoCAD or CAD drafting is preferred.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience as an AutoCAD Draftsman or in a similar CAD drafting role.
- Experience in construction, civil engineering, infrastructure, or electrical projects.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
- Working knowledge of Revit and Civil 3D.
- Familiarity with 3D design software such as SolidWorks, Navisworks, and Revit.
- Experience using Document Management Systems (DMS) such as ProjectWise, ACONEX, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, technical standards, and drafting principles.
