We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and optimize operations at our cosmetics packaging manufacturing plant. In this role, you will be responsible for overall plant performance, production planning, workforce management, and ensuring strict quality standards.
This is a management and leadership role rather than a hands-on technical position. You will lead a team of supervisors, setting technicians, and operators who handle the machine setups, while you focus on maximizing output, minimizing wastage, and ensuring seamless supply chain fulfillment for high-end cosmetic components.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Planning & Scheduling: Create, manage, and execute daily/weekly production schedules to ensure all client orders are delivered on time.
- Team Leadership & Workforce Management: Oversee shift supervisors, technical teams, and floor labor. Manage manpower allocation, attendance, and performance tracking.
- Wastage & Cost Control: Monitor daily rejection rates, track raw material/masterbatch consumption, and implement strategies to reduce scrap and overhead costs.
- Inter-Departmental Coordination: Collaborate closely with the Toolroom, Quality Control, Sales, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely dispatches.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in a production management or supervisory role within a manufacturing plant. Experience in cosmetics packaging, FMCG, or plastic manufacturing is highly preferred.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and execute process improvements.
- Communication & Leadership: Excellent command-oriented leadership skills to manage a large workforce and maintain strict floor discipline.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
