Position: Head - Training & Placements
Work Location: CIT Nagar - Saidapet
Position Objective: The role of a Head of Training and Placement is crucial for bridging the gap between academia and industry. This position involves a range of responsibilities aimed at enhancing the employability of students and ensuring successful placement outcomes.
Strategic Planning and Management
Developing Placement Policies: Formulate comprehensive placement policies that align with the institution's vision and mission.

Setting Goals: Establish annual placement targets and strategies to achieve them.

Budget Management: Oversee the budget allocated for training and placement activities.
Industry Collaboration
Building Industry Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with companies, industry leaders, and alumni to facilitate campus recruitment.

MoUs and Partnerships: Sign Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with companies for internships, projects, and placements.
Student Preparation
Training Programs: Design and conduct training programs, workshops, and seminars to enhance students' employability skills, including communication, technical skills, aptitude, and soft skills.

Career Counseling: Provide career guidance and counseling to students, helping them identify career goals and pathways.

Resume Building and Interview Preparation: Assist students in creating effective resumes and preparing for interviews through mock sessions and feedback.
Placement Drives and Internships
Organizing Placement Drives: Plan and execute campus recruitment drives, ensuring a smooth process for both recruiters and students.

Internship Coordination: Facilitate internships and industry projects for students to gain practical experience.
Data Management and Reporting
Maintaining Records: Keep detailed records of students' academic performance, training activities, and placement status.

Reporting: Prepare and present periodic reports on placement activities and outcomes to the college management and stakeholders.
Alumni Relations
Alumni Network: Build and maintain a strong alumni network to support placement activities and mentoring programs.

Alumni Engagement: Organize alumni meets and leverage alumni expertise for training and placement support.
Quality Assurance
Feedback Mechanism: Implement a feedback mechanism from recruiters and students to continually improve the training and placement processes.

Accreditation Support: Support the institution in maintaining accreditation standards related to placements.
Liaison and Coordination
Departmental Coordination: Work closely with academic departments to align training programs with the curriculum and industry requirements.

Administrative Liaison: Act as a liaison between students, faculty, and industry representatives.
Innovation and Trends
Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest industry trends, job market requirements, and emerging technologies to ensure students are well-prepared for future challenges.

Implement Innovations: Introduce innovative training methods and placement strategies to improve outcomes.
Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Engineering, Management, or a related field.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in training and placement, career services, or a related field.

Proven track record of successful placement outcomes.

Strong industry network and relationships.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, students, and industry partners.

Preferred Skills:
