1. Candidate should have prior experience in mechanical maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and handling of mechanical issues related to electrical motors.
2. Willing to travel and work at various sites across India as per project requirements.
3. Responsible for handling and supervising mechanical activities related to electrical motors, both onsite and off-site.
4. Should have practical knowledge of motor bearings, bearing housings, shafts, couplings, end shields, rotor, stator mechanical clearances, lubrication systems, and other motor-related mechanical components.
5. Responsible for bearing inspection, bearing replacement, shaft inspection, coupling inspection, mechanical clearance checking, alignment, and other mechanical activities associated with motors.
6. Blue Matching: Carry out blue matching/checking of motor mechanical components to ensure proper contact, seating, and fitment of mating surfaces as per required specifications.
7. Scrapping: Perform controlled scrapping of required motor mechanical components/mating surfaces wherever necessary to achieve proper fitment, contact area and mechanical clearance.
8. Should be capable of identifying and troubleshooting mechanical problems in motors, such as abnormal vibration, bearing failure, overheating, abnormal noise, shaft wear, coupling problems, misalignment, looseness, and mechanical rubbing.
9. Knowledge of motor shaft condition, shaft run-out measurement, bearing fits and clearances, coupling alignment and rotor balancing will be preferred.
10. Experience in handling rotating equipment and large industrial motors will be an added advantage.
11. Handling the team and allotting daily work as per site/project requirements.
12. Experience of working at industrial sites and handling clients, site engineers, and maintenance teams to ensure satisfactory completion of work.
13. Coordinate with the electrical and testing teams during motor inspection, maintenance, assembly, and testing activities.
14. Maintain the daily site/work log book, recording work carried out, observations, measurements, issues, and work progress.
15. Strictly monitor mechanical materials, bearings, components, tools and consumables, and report any damage, misuse or abnormal consumption.
16. Should be capable of reading and understanding motor GA drawings, mechanical drawings, shaft drawings, bearing details and technical specifications.
17. Should have good hands-on knowledge of mechanical troubleshooting of electrical motors and rotating equipment.
18. Skills in the operation of MS Office for preparing work reports, inspection reports and other technical documentation.
19. Candidate should be willing to travel extensively within India to attend customer sites, inspections, troubleshooting and motor-related projects.
