The Role
Join our founding team as Senior Merchandiser to drive end-to-end merchandising for North India's manufacturing network - the region dominating home textiles and workwear exports. You will manage buyer relationships, order execution, and production timelines across Rajasthan, with direct influence on national expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Own the merchandising cycle from order confirmation through shipment across manufacturing clusters in Rajasthan (Jaipur, Bhilwara)
Manage costing, sampling, and order execution for hosiery, home textiles (bedsheets, towels, furnishings), workwear, and technical textiles, coordinating with dyeing units, printing facilities, and yarn suppliers
Develop standardized merchandising and quality checklists covering capacity planning, production tracking, and compliance certifications (OEKO-TEX, GOTS, WRAP, ZDHC)
Translate international buyer requirements from Europe, North America, and the Middle East into clear production plans matched to North Indian manufacturing capabilities
Track orders end-to-end from yarn procurement through finishing and shipment, coordinating with testing labs, compliance auditors, and logistics partners to ensure on-time delivery
Provide market intelligence on input costs, capacity utilization, and emerging capabilities to inform merchandising strategy and pricing
What You Bring
5-8 years in merchandising, textile sourcing, or production planning with export house or buying office experience; proven track record managing orders across 15+ manufacturing facilities
Deep knowledge of home textile, knitwear, or workwear manufacturing (spinning, weaving/knitting, processing, finishing)
Established relationships with manufacturers, processors, and suppliers across North India's textile clusters
Entrepreneurial mindset - comfortable building systems from scratch, thriving in ambiguity, and taking ownership beyond a defined role
Strong costing, sampling, factory audit, compliance standards (SEDEX, BSCI, Higg Index), negotiation, and relationship management skills
Good to Have
Bachelor's/diploma in Textile Technology, Apparel Management, or a related field
Fluency in Hindi/Punjabi and English; comfortable with Excel, Google Sheets, and supplier management platforms
