BACKGROUND
Aseema Charitable Trust is a purpose-driven organisation working at the intersection of education and social enterprise.
As our work expands in both scope and depth, there is a strong need to build a cohesive communication strategy that enhances awareness, engagement, and fundraising — and builds Aseema’s reputation as a trusted, creative, and impactful organisation.
PURPOSE
In today’s attention economy, storytelling, digital visibility, and engagement are crucial. Aseema is poised to expand its reach and deepen its impact — but to do so, a structured, intentional communication strategy is critical.
This communicator will create powerful storytelling content, manage digital channels, drive audience engagement, support fundraising campaigns, and lead public relations efforts — ensuring Aseema Charitable Trust is consistently and effectively represented to the outside world.

- Lack of cohesive communication strategy and content planning
- Inconsistent branding and voice
- Minimal audience engagement and growth
- Limited media outreach and PR
- Absence of data-driven content performance analysis
CORE OBJECTIVES
- Increase visibility and build brand awareness for education divisions.
- Engage with Stakeholders: Keep donors, volunteers, and partners informed and inspired. Engage the correct audience.
- Drive Action: Convert engagement into donations or volunteering.
- Establish Brand Voice: Maintain consistency in tone, look, and messaging across platforms.
- Leverage Media & PR: Position Aseema and its leadership in the public eye through earned media.
- Participate in monthly meetings with our Advisors, Ms. Anjali Patil and Mr Prathamesh Barah.
SCOPE OF WORK
1. Content & Storytelling
- Create written, visual, and video content: blogs, newsletters, case studies, reels, and campaign videos.
- Work closely with programme teams to surface and narrate field stories and milestones.
2. Social Media Management
- Build and manage a unified content calendar across platforms: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp Business.
- Tailor content to each platform with a strong eye for visuals, engagement timing, and audience tone.
- Drive follower growth and interaction.
3. Digital Marketing & Analytics
- Run digital campaigns (organic + basic paid ads) to support awareness and fundraising.
- Manage email communications (e.g., Mailchimp), newsletters, and donor updates.
- Update and optimise website content for user experience and SEO.
- Track and report on analytics (reach, conversions, engagement) to inform content strategy.
4. Public Relations
- Build relationships with journalists, influencers, and media houses.
- Draft and pitch press releases, stories, and media opportunities.
- Secure interviews, speaking engagements, and thought leadership features for Aseema’s leadership.
5. Branding & Communication Collateral
- Ensure brand consistency across all external and internal communication materials.

Skills required:
- Excellent command over English language
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication skills
- Relevant experience of minimum 3-5 years.
- Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with diverse stakeholders and audiences.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently
- Proficiency in managing and strategizing social media platforms to enhance engagement and brand presence.
