Job Summary :
Star Sea Management is seeking a Business Development Manager to develop new business, manage national and international client relationships, and expand our network in the maritime and shipping industry.
- Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve company growth targets and clients.
- Identify and acquire new clients in the shipping, offshore, and maritime sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with national and international clients.
- Coordinate with ship owners, ship management companies, crewing agencies, and business partners.
- Handle client inquiries, negotiations, proposals, and service agreements.
- Represent the company during client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities.
- Coordinate internally with the operations and recruitment teams to ensure timely client support and service delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Shipping, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in Business Development, Client Coordination, or Sales, preferably in the shipping, maritime, offshore, or crewing industry.
- Experience coordinating with both national and international clients.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently and achieve business targets.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM tools is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and business development activities when required.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of the shipping, offshore, and crew management industry.
- Existing network within the maritime industry will be an added advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts efficiently.
- Professional communication and email drafting skills.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to business growth.
