About the Role
We are looking for a highly creative Illustrator to join our team and bring stories, traditions, and ideas to life through original artwork. The ideal candidate should have a strong artistic foundation, excellent drawing skills, and the ability to create illustrations across digital and hand-drawn formats.
At Najaranu, you will work on luxury handicraft collections, storytelling projects, product concepts, coffee table books, packaging, social media campaigns, and heritage-inspired visual narratives.
Key Responsibilities
- Create original illustrations for products, catalogs, packaging, social media, websites, and marketing campaigns.
- Develop concept sketches and detailed artwork based on creative briefs.
- Research Indian heritage, crafts, architecture, motifs, textiles, mythology, and cultural elements for design inspiration.
- Convert ideas into visually appealing illustrations suitable for embroidery, printing, engraving, and digital applications.
- Collaborate with the design, marketing, and product development teams.
- Create vector artwork and production-ready files.
- Maintain consistency with brand aesthetics and visual guidelines.
- Assist in visual storytelling projects, documentaries, books, and educational content.
Required Skills
- Strong illustration and sketching abilities.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other relevant design software.
- Strong understanding of composition, color theory, typography, and visual storytelling.
- Ability to create both hand-drawn and digital illustrations.
- Knowledge of vector artwork preparation.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Fine Arts, Illustration, Graphic Design, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in illustration or visual design.
- Experience working with luxury, fashion, handicraft, textile, gifting, or lifestyle brands.
- Understanding of Indian art forms, embroidery, motifs, miniature paintings, Pichwai, Mughal, Rajasthani, or traditional craft aesthetics is a strong advantage.

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹450,000.00 per year
